My Best Friend

Hi lovelies! I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend! I spent this weekend celebrating my best friend– my Mommy. I feel so completely blessed and honored to not only have such an amazing mom but to get to call her my friend as well. She is the woman who instantly puts everyone at ease and the woman that everyone wants to open up to, even if it’s their first time meeting her. She really is that good of a listener and she is also incredibly wise, offering wonderful advice. She is my biggest cheerleader and fan, always making me feel good no matter how small the accomplishment. She is an amazing woman of God who truly has lived her life listening to God’s call. She is smart and funny and truly the most incredible woman I know. And somehow, I’m lucky enough to be her daughter. She has had the most profound impact on my life and I don’t know what I would ever do without her. Everything is just better when she’s around and I love spending time together.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of us (that I had on my computer!)

Isn’t she absolutely beautiful and so stylish? I’m also lucky to have some very good genes! :)

Questions:

-Tell me about your weekend!

-Did you do anything special for Mother’s Day?

  2. Aw! …..Your mom is very pretty and I’m sure reading this put some tears in her eyes!
…..I went to church, took a long run/walk, and worked in my garden… and got to feel my baby move around a lot- perfect mother’s day!

  3. I love that photo of you and your mom in the car! This weekend my mom went out of town with her man, so I only got to see her for an hour or so. She brought home pie and I ate some of that while catching her up on my SF-apartment hunting escapades! Aren’t mom’s great?

  5. Y’all are so stinking adorable :)

My mom, dad, sister, her husband and I went out to a greek restaurant. It was so nice spending time with my momma :)

Plus I got her a towel that says “wine areobics” and has the the cork screw in different positions. She absolutely LOVED it. Glad I know what my mom likes :) haha!

  6. You and your mom are the cutest! I live in Boston and my parents are in Florida so I spent the weekend with my roommates whose parents also live out of town. We went to the beach and enjoyed some much needed sunshine :)

  7. This tribute to your mom brought a HUGE smile to my face! It’s so apparent that your loving words came straight from the heart. You two share a genuine beauty that shines both inside and out. <3 Cheers to your mom for being an amazing woman, and for raising an equally amazing daughter!

I'm best friends with my mom too, and wouldn't want it any other way. She's supported me through *everything,* and I'm not sure who I'd be today had she not been there to guide me during the challenging moments and celebrate with me during the triumphs. If I can be even half the mother to my children that she's been to me, I'll be happy. :)

I'm so glad you had a nice weekend with your family! Hugs! xoxo
